Abstract

Faiz Ahmad Faiz is one of the great name of Modern Urdu Verse. He is also considered a revolutionary poet. He penned a number of anthologies and got appreciated in his life time. He is widely appreciated for his revolutionary views and innovative poetry. Yet some critics also point out some prosodic errors in his poetry. The article establishes that the errors found in verse of Faiz though negligible, are the results of compositor. The value of his poetry cannot be undermined for such errors whose responsibility lies on the shoulders of compositor and not on Faiz .
