Abstract

Zahida Hina is a prominent and versatile personality of Urdu literature. She is known for her column writing, fiction writing and translation. She has also penned a novelette by the name of "Na Janun Raha Na Pari Rahi". This article discusses Zahida Hina's literary flare as a novelette writer. The article also tries to define novelette as an independent genre and readily incorporates examples from different literatures of the world. The salient features of the Hina's said novelette have been highlighted in the article.
