Abstract

The narration of human woes and worries is commonly found in Atiya Syed`s short stories. Western lifestyle is her main forte. This is why most of the characters in her stories are English or American by nature. Her stories cover multifaceted literary aspects. Symbolism and descriptivism are central elements of her stories. Her stories collection Shehar e Hol, Hiqayat e Janoon have been very famous in literary circles. The article presents a critical analysis of Atia's stories.
