This paper examines the philosophical and literary engagement of Urdu literature with war, peace, and global conflicts throughout various historical periods. It examines how major world events such as colonialism, world wars, the Cold War, the Partition of India, and contemporary global crises have shaped Urdu literary thought and expression. The study highlights how Urdu writers and poets transformed literature into a medium of resistance, critique, and humanistic reflection rather than mere aesthetic expression. Through the works of key figures such as Allama Iqbal, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Saadat Hasan Manto, and Qurratulain Hyder, the paper demonstrates how Urdu literature addresses themes of freedom, justice, identity, trauma, and peace. The analysis further reveals that modern Urdu literature continues to address issues such as terrorism, migration, globalization, and environmental crises, thereby positioning Urdu literature as an active participant in global intellectual and ethical debates. The paper concludes that Urdu literature, deeply rooted in philosophical inquiry, remains a powerful voice for peace, human dignity, and social justice in the context of global conflicts.
