Abstract

Masnavi Gul Kushti written in 1112 AH by Abdul Aal Mir Nijaat Isfahani a poet of the age of safavi consists of 300 couplets. He employed the terms of a boat for his love themes. Many people have written expositions of the terms of a boat in view of the importance and significance of this narrative poem. One of such writers of these expositions is Abul Faiz Muhammad Malahat. In his expository work, he not only explained these terms and their meanings but also wrote in detail about many words and sentences. Malahat has made use of other expository works to write his own exposition, but he criticizes some points of others' exposition. Many hand-written manuscripts of Mir Nijaat's narrative poem are placed in various libraries of Indo-Pak Subcontinent.
