Abstract

Nasir Ali Sarhindi was a distinguished and renowned Persian Speaking poet from the 11th century AH, during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir, in Sub continent. This era witnessed the zenith of the Subk-e-Hindi, of Persian poetry, celebrated for its elegance and the impressive intellectual and technical abilities of its poets. Nasir Ali was among the later poets who enhanced his work with the defining characteristics of the Subk-e-Hindi, which included creativity in subject matter, imaginative expression, subtlety of thought, idealization, exaggeration, and philosophical reflection. He adeptly and artistically conveyed his thoughts and ideas through Subk-e-Hindi. This article, examines the notable technical aspects and Artistic characteristics of Nasir Ali Sarhindi's poetry.
