Abstract

There are considerable numbers of poets in Pakistan who have opted Arabic language to express their feelings and emotions in it. There is no denying the fact that to express in verse is more difficult as compared to prose. And that every native is not a poet of his/her respective language. Poetry is a God-gifted and an instinctive quality. Composing verses requires a lot of skills including grip on the target language, its different styles and other linguistic skills. Poetic expression in Arabic by Pakistani poets is an ample proof of their command on Arabic language. The contribution of Pakistani Arabic poets to Arabic language is of much importance as they have proved their command on Arabic language through their compositions and their versatile literary tastes. This article deals with Pakistani Arabic Poetry: Traditional and Modern.
