Abstract

Allama Rukan ud din Dehlvi is a spiritual disciple of famous Sufi Hazrat Naseer al-Din Charagh e Dehli who belongs to a mystic school i.e. Chishti Nizami. He wrote a voluminous Mathnavi “Turfatul Fukaha” on Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) in Feroz Shah Tuglaqs reign. The book is directly related with Hanafi fiqh, but there are some disagreements on some fiqhi problem with other school of Islamic jurisprudence. The poet writes about his great teachers and his Sheikh Naseer ud Din. He also describes the ambience of his monastery. He calls his Mathnavi a book of advice. The book consists of 335 chapters and there are 15200 verses in this book. This significant source was completed in 1383. The present research paper aims to provide a detailed evaluation and analysis of this great and forgotten book.
