Abstract
Warastah was a prominent figure of Persian literature of the subcontinent in the 12th century. He is known as a scholar, critic, lexicographer and eminent writer. His work is an ample proof of his vast study and knowledge of primary literary sources of Persian language. Biyaz-e-Warsata is one of his note-worthy contributions. Its manuscript is available at the Sherani Collection, Punjab University library, Lahore. This Biyaz comprises verses of hundreds of classical and contemporary poets. The article is an effort to introduce the manuscript and determine its writer's status as a scholar of Persian language.
