Abstract
Mughal Aesthetics is one the most successful historical periods of the Indo-Islamic system of beauty and sense perception. It is expressed in all art forms of Mughal civilization. Mirza Bedil theorized beauty as the sublime presence of transcendent unity in the kaleidoscopic multiplicity. For him, aesthetically conscious subjects and ontological present worldly objects (or even beloved human person) are actively and necessarily involved in the formation of aesthetic experience. Bedil presented this unique theory of beauty in the 17th century of Mughal India; it demands critical appreciation.
