Abstract
Maharaja Chandu Lal Shadan served as a prime minister of Hyderabad Deccan during 1833-1844. He was a great patron of Urdu language and literature. His generosity attracted Urdu poets and writers of the time to his court. Despite his official responsibilities, he used to organize and attend Mushairas on regular basis. He himself was a good poet and wrote a diwan in Urdu. This article tries to introduce and analyze the rare manuscript of his diwan found in British Library, London. The manuscript is still in a good condition. It is in complete form so far and therefore can be used as copy text for further reserach. The second manuscript available with Asiatic Society Library, Kolkata- India is incomplete but still is very important for a bibliographer.
