Abstract

Abdul Ahad Azad was a famous poet of Kashmiri language. He was much impressed by the art and thought of Allama Iqbal. Though he was a contemporary of Allama Iqbal yet he could not meet him in his life time. Azad employed Iqbal's thoughts in his verse. He also introduced Kashmiri language to modern trends of poetry and innovative temperament gleaned from Iqbal's philosophy. The article is an effort to study Iqbal's impact on Azad's verse.
