Abstract
Khawaja Mir Dard is a great mystic poet of Urdu and so is Miss Emily Dickinson of English language. They both enjoy world-wide recognition in regard to their mysticism and mystic poetry. They can rightly be termed as the true representative of mysticism in their respective languages. Mysticism is not an abstract subject in their poetry; rather it is the very foundation of their poetic disposition. They not only presented mysticism in their verses but also practiced it in their daily life. A keen study of these two great mystic poets of Urdu and English shows that there are many commonalities in their verses. The article is an effort to study the similarities in their poetry.
