Franz Kafka is the pioneer of abstract and surrealistic style in fiction. He has very broad impact on international literature including Urdu. A number of Urdu writers liked Kafka's style and employed it as well in their works. They include Intizar Husain, Quratul Ain Haider, Ahmad Ali even Saadat Hassn Manto etc. The article highlights the impact of Franz Kafka on Urdu literature. It covers Franz Kafka's brief introduction besides style and his impact on Urdu literature with additional view of reasons and discussion of super literature.
