Abstract
Makhzan-ul-Asrar is the first and the foremost of the Khamsa-Five narrative poems- of Nizami Ganjwi. Makhzan-ul-Asrar, one of the most illustrious and outstanding elegant mystic poems in Persian, has both perfection of language and grandeur of thought. This poem was widely appreciated and warmly welcomed in literary and mystic circles of the Subcontinent, especially during the reign of great Mughals. Syed Ibrahim bin Ismail Thathwi-a Qazi and Mufti of Shah Jahan's period, wrote a significant commentary on Makhzan-ul-Asrar in 1628 AD-1037 AH. Its nineteen handwritten manuscripts are available in Pakistan, and three of which are kept saved in the Central Library of Punjab University, Lahore. These three important manuscripts are being introduced in this research paper.
