Ghulam Hamadani Mushafi is mentioned among the poets who left Delhi and settled in Lucknow. He expressed his thoughts on poetry and poetics in his Urdu, Persian tazkiras. Mushafi holds a special importance in the world of Persian Tazkiras because of Eqad-e-Surayya, Tazkira-e-Hindi and Riyaz-ul-Fusaha. Briefly but comprehensively, light will be shed on these tazkiras."Eqad-e-Surayya” is a tazkira of one hundred and fifty-two and fifteen Persian-speaking poets of Iran and India. It is basically a mention of Persian poets, but it also includes forty-four poets who have tried their hand at both Persian and Urdu. The second “Tazkira-e-Hindi” which includes the accounts and samples of 188 poets and five poets from the era of Muhammad Shah to the era of Shah Alam. The “Tazkira Hindi” mentions Urdu poets. Mushafi mentioned mostly contemporary poets with whom he was well acquainted.This third and last mention of Riyaz-ul-Fusaha Mushafi is also in Persian. This mention contains the status and poetry of 322 poets, but the number of poets in both Persian and Urdu languages ​​is two hundred and better (272) and the number of Persian poets is only thirty-seven. Apart from these two, there are thirteen poets whose poetry is included in both Urdu and Persian.
