Abstract

The Masnawi ‘Nairang e Ishq’ is a famous and unique love story of Persian literature which contains homosexuality. This story is related to a village of Punjab in which the love between the two people named Shahid (beloved) and Aziz (lover) is narrated. Shahid and Aziz are the two main characters of this story. Apart from this, another love story of Shahid and a girl named Wafa is narrated in this Masnawi .This masnawi was composed by a famous and renowned sufi poet of Punjab ,Muhammad Akram Ghanimat Kunjahi(17th c).Under this article ,the manuscripts of the aforementioned Masnawi  that are available in the famous Library Maulana Azad, Aligarh, India ,have been introduced .Where a total of fifteen(15) manuscripts of this Masnawi are available ,which are in different collections such as University Collection, Sulaiman Collection, Habib Ganj, Abdul Salam, Jawahar and Subhan Allah Collection.
