Abstract
Interaction of local languages of Pakistan with Arabic language is centuries old. All local languages including regional got influenced by Arabic language and its script. Degree of influence may vary but all of them, less or more, benefited from Arabic and its script. This article is a study of five major regional languages of Pakistan namely Hindko, Kashmiri, Brahui, Seraiki and Balti. All these languages are written in Perso-Arabic script and have borrowed a lot from Arabic.
