Abstract
There are many nations in the world and each nation uses specific language for interaction and literary endeavors. Since every nation uses its national language so the languages of the world differ with each other. Translation is the only tool to get familiar with other's literary works and thoughts. It is why translation is considered very much important from the time immemorial. Though Punjabi is a very old language hence the tradition of translation from other languages into Punjabi is a story of later centuries. This article sheds light on the tradition of translation in Punjabi language-its beginning and evolution.
