Abstract
In the time of Khawja Nizamuddin Aulia both religious and stately conditions were promising and ripe. Therefore Aulia's period is considered as golden era of the subcontinent. Though Khanqah of Nizam was physically located in the Capital city of Delhi but virtually it had nothing to do with the state. Since in Chishti Order of Sufism, state and Tasawwuf are separate entities, any relation or contact with the incumbents are equal to death of spirituality. Indifferent to political forces, Khawja Nizam struggled hard to revive the great spiritual and Khanqahi institution of the subcontinent by laying down its principles.
