Abstract
The article is a study of the obstacles regarding teaching of Arabic language. Generic mention has been made of the difficulties faced by the non native Arabs and later on specific hindrances have been discussed comprehensively. Teaching of Arabic language at the University of the Punjab has been taken as a case study and a detailed discussion made in light of teaching experience at the oldest and one of the most esteemed seat of higher learning in Pakistan i.e. University of the Punjab, Lahore. The article concludes with some suggestions to overcoming the issue.
