Abstract

Ghalib is a philosophical poet of Urdu language. He dealt philosophical questions of life and reality of universe deeply. Although he has not presented a harmonious philosophy like Iqbal but there are many metaphysical elements in his poetry. Ghalib had an astonishing power to explain the philosophical expressions in his verse. Wahdatul Wujood is his favourite and prominent topic in this regard. As a follower of Bedil, he composed this concept from different angles. Though he was not a practising Sufi yet he believed in Wahdatul Wujood firmly. In the light of this concept he dealt in his verse with ontology, cosmology and psychology nicely.
