Abstract
The philosopher poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal was much influenced by Islam and the Prophet of Islam (PBUH). This led him to love Arabic language, Arabs and Arabian Peninsula of which Hejaz is a part. Though Iqbal composed his verses in Urdu and Persian yet his poetry is bearing purely Arabic flavour. His verse is chiefly based upon the teaching of the Quran, the Hadith and Arabic literature. The article begins with mentioning of Iqbal’s liking for the holy Qura’n and its beautiful captivating style which is also evident from his poetry. The article highlights influence of Arabic literature on Iqbal in light of his poetic renditions.
