Abstract
In the formation of culture of any nation, the centuries old traditions are involved. The gradual changing socio political factors also play an important role in this regard. As far as the evolution of Punjabi culture is concerned, the invaders have a special reference. Unfortunately, after the partition of Punjab, a heinous negative propaganda was launched against Punjabi language and culture. It has not only created inferiority complex among the people of Punjab about their language and culture but also very significant changes have been observed in their culture. This defamation venture has played havoc with Punjabi language and culture and distorted its real face and spirit.
