Derivation is the most important topic of Morphology of Linguistics of Arabic language. Owing to derivation, a language copes with the changing demands of the time as a living language and hence becomes a source of its soundness and comprehensiveness. And derivational changes in Arabic stand very high in the salient features of Arabic language. Its why, this topic has attracted the attention of linguists in all times. Scholars from the sub continent have also shown inclination towards this discussion.  Some of them followed suit but other also presented philosophical ideas on the topic. This article is an effort to introduce the contributions of the sub continentals in the field of derivation and analyses them too.  Three scholars namely Siddiq Hasan Khan Qinnoji, Karamt Husain Kantori and Syed Suleman Ashraf Bihari’s works have been selected and focused in this regard.
