He has written some poems and ghazals which are not published. In ghazals he had used classical similes, metaphors and illustrations. He followed classical tradition in ghazals.  In the poems, there is a variety of topics like indifference of society, rights of women, famine in Bengal etc. Although his poetry is not considered on a par with his prose yet the element of creativity is easily traced in it.
