Abstract

Urdu prose has long history and is enriched with many stylist writers. A look into the past will show that Shah Abdul Qadir Delhvi translator of the Holy Quran, is the first stylist prose writer. Meer Amman, Ghalib, Sir Syed, Hali, Shibli, Muhammad Hussain Azad, Abdul Kalam Azad, Rasheed Ahmed Sidiqui, Khursheed-ul-Islam, Quratul Ain Haider are known stylist writers. The writers of Dastane Ameer Hamza are being ignored by the historians of Urdu; hence they have their own styles which have its own strength and worth.
