Abstract
Shams-ur-Rahman Farooqi is a great Urdu novelist of modern age. For any novel to be successful it needs pinnacle of expression and engaging language. If entrances of language and that too such a sweet and vigorous one as Urdu, are not taken into account, the novel fails to find recognition. Taken in this context, KAI CHAND THEY SAR-E-AASMAN should be ranked as a masterpiece. The article is an effort to study the said novel's diction and style.
