Abstract

With the passage of time the myth of storytelling is completely transformed. Especially in modern short story the frame of old story i.e. beginning, mid and end is not prevalent. It is because of the complex nature of narrative and new more complicated techniques of storytelling in fiction. Anti-structuralism is also an extension of anti-story which deviates from all norms and set rules of the story. It liberates the writer from the clutches of the established  rules. The article deals with anti-story and anti-structuralism with special reference to modern short story written in Urdu language.
