Abstract

Ghulam Hamdani Mushafi was a prominent poet and Tazkira writer of Urdu. His major poetic collection represents the Lakhnavi school of thought. His poetic collection consists of eight Urdu and three Persian divans. He employed a different dialect in his poetry. His poetic clashes with Insha were very famous which gave his poetry a very interesting tinge. His poetic collection in Tazkira-e-Hindi is valuable and when compared with his divan, a wide difference comes forth. The article is an attempt to trace out these differences in a balanced way.
