Abstract

Bedil Delhavi was a Sufi saint and a remarkable poet of the Indian Subcontinent. He was the foremost representative of the later phase of the Indian style, Sabk-e-Hindi of Persian poetry and the most difficult and challenging poet of that school. His poetry attracted the true scholarship and got admired by the Persian literati home and abroad alike for his employment of unique style and subject matter.  Being one of his admirers, Naseer al Din Golarvi not only tried to elaborate Bedil's thoughts but also got influenced by his style and thoughts. The article is a study of Bedil's influence on the verse of Naseer al Din Golarvi.
