Abstract

Capitalism is in a way a continuation of the feudal system. This system is directly related to the French and the Russian revolutions. The Bolshevik movement served as oxygen in pursuit of the rights of workers and peasants. It did not only impacted workers and peasants but also influenced the world literature. Russian literary trend was propagated under the influence of the progressive movement in the 1936. Poets of the Subcontinent played an important role in promoting Marxist and Socialist thoughts, among which the names of Sajjad Zaheer, Ali Sardar Jafri, Faiz, Sahir and Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi are prominent. MD Taseer's name is characteristically noteworthy. This article focuses MD Taseer's views on Capitalism as expressed in his verse.
