Story is an essential element of any genre of fiction. A novel cannot be written without a story. Importance of story and its role in a novel has been discussed a lot all over the world especially in English language. Many critics of Urdu have also come with serious discussions on it. The article analyzes the work of all those critics who have introduced  a new idea in Urdu for the first time.
