Abstract

Colonel Muhammad Khan is a renowned comic writer of Urdu labguage. He got recognition in literary circles by his very first book namely BaJang Aamad. Basically, it is a travelogue which also carries comical tinges. Col. Khan creates humour in his writing by employing classical verses of Urdu and Persian. Especially, he uses verses of Mirza Ghalib beautifully as per the demand of the situation. The paper highlights Col. Khan’s knack of creating humour by apt usage of verses especially that of Ghalib’s.
