Abstract

Classical Urdu poetry presents the universe not as a mechanical arrangement of isolated objects, but as an organic and interconnected cosmos in which human emotion, nature, spirituality, and metaphysical reality continuously interact. This study explores how major traditional poets of Urdu poetry: Meer, Mushafee, Ghalib, Anees and Nazeer construct a living universe through symbolic imagery, mystical imagination, and aesthetic harmony. The paper examines how elements like the flora and fauna of subcontinent function as dynamic symbols within an integrated poetic ecology.
