Abstract

This article reviews the introduction to the Hindi script and its historical evolution. The importance of the Devanagari script can be gauged from the fact that knowing the Devanagari script is very important for understanding Hindu civilization and culture. If we examine the beginning and development of the Hindi language from a linguistic perspective, then the Hindi language is related to the ancient Sanskrit language of India. This is why the Devanagari script is called the modified form of the Sanskrit script. The structure of the Devanagari script, its alphabets and its features are presented in detail in the article. In addition, a brief review of Hindi grammar is also presented. In the context of Hindi teaching, this article has written the names of Hindi days, weeks, months, directions, as well as Hindi numerals. The main purpose of writing this article is to make the introduction and understanding of the Hindi script easy and useful for new learners.
