Lalla Arifa was the first Kashmiri poetess who spoke about injustice and discrimination against the poors in her society. Due to her progressive thoughts, the cast-ridden Hindu society and other social bonds started to fall apart.She was the first adherent of the religious humanism and cultural renaissance in the history of Kashmir.
