Abstract

Present article is about a critical and analytical study of the Poetry of Prof. Syed Muhammad Mansoor Ahmad Khalid. Basicaly he was the professor of Urdu at Higher Education Department, Punjab. He performed his duties as Lecture Urdu at Govt. Jinah Islamia College, Sialkot, as Assistant Professor at Govt. Islamia College, Gujranwala, and as Associate Professor at Govt. College, Setlite Town, Gujranwala, from 1975 to 2003. He passed away in 2007 and buried at Aastana Aalia Habibia, Gujrat. He belonged to an educated, literary and spiritual family. His father Hazrat Molana Syed Muhammad Yousuf Naqashbandi was not only a grate Suffi but also a versatile poet of Urdu and Punjabi. His elder brother Prof. Syed Muhammad Kabir Ahmad Mazhar Naqashbandi was also a lagend personality regarding Suffism, Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Punjabi Literatures, Teaching and Writings. Professor Khalid was not only the competent Professor of Urdu but also a good critic, creater, poet and researcher. He wrote more than fifteen books in Urdu and Punjabi on Poetry, Criticism and Research. His Urdu, Punjbi and Persian poetry is very unique, beautifu and admireable. In present article his poetry had been analysed from different angles.
