Abstract

Mirza Athar Baig is a post-modern writer. Ghulam Bagh is his first post-modern novel. The trend of symbolism in fiction is a product of the dictatorship period. Ghulam Bagh explains the history with new symbolic elements. In this article, the intended meaning of these symbols has been clarified. The text of Ghulam Bagh has been carefully read regarding Derrida's Theory to see if it would be appropriate to call it a post-modern novel or not.
