Ashfaq Ahmad was a renowned and prominent Urdu short story writer. His short stories reflect multi facets of metaphysical elements. Short stories of Ashfaq Ahmad reveal his command over use of various metaphysical elements through spirituality romanticism, mysticism, Islamic mythology and other religious rituals. In this article an endeavour has been made to highlight various dimensions of metaphysical elements in his selective short stories.
