Generally, a comic character  appears and dominates in the genera of comedy. The comic character usually makes him/herself a laughing stock by his/her appearance, deed and action. This article deals with the brief introduction of comic characters in Urdu short stories. Besides presenting definition of a comic character, some examples of comic characters from Urdu short stories complying with its definition partly or completely, have also been incorporated in the article.
