One of the leading poets of Indian style of Persian poetry, commonly called Sabk-i hindī, was Ghanīmat Kunjāhī who was born in a village near Gujarat (Pakistan) in the second half of the seventeenth century. A. Bausani (d. 1988), a renowned Italian orientalist contributed an important article on Ghanīmat Kunjāhī that was completely unknown to our scholars.
