Abstract

Khushdil was a Persian poet of the Subcontinent who lived in thirteenth century al-Hijra. Little is known about his life and whereabouts. Renowned scholar Munzavi has mentioned two of his books. One of them is Khushdil Nama and the other is Diwan-e-Khushdil. The latter comprises twenty three ghazls including one musammat whose manuscript is housed at Ganj Bukhsh Library, Islamabad. This is a very important Persian diwan because of its techniques and thoughts. Besides edited form of the said diwan, the article presents a biographical study of  Khushdil.
