Ehsan Danish was a prominent modern poet of Urdu language. At the beginning of his career his poetry was very romantic but later he composed on laboure and came to be called Shair - e - Mazdur (Poet of the labourers ). His poetry appeals to common man. He enjoyed a creative command over both genres of Ghazal and Nazm. He has written more then 80 books and hundreds of articales including poetry, prose, linguistics, philology, autobiographies. Much of his literary work is still un - published. He wrote several Hamds and Naats. Darain and Abr - e Nisa are his well known books on Naat.
