Abstract
The significance of Persian literature is truly appreciated around the world and the impact of Sufis & Saints on Persian poetry & prose can not be overlooked. Nur ud Din Abdul Rahman Jmai was a Sufi belonged to Naqshbandia Order in 9th century A.H. He spent most of his life in Heratt, modern day Afghanistan, and has left enormous and valuable poetic & prose works in Persian. He is well admired in Indo-Pak Sub-continent, Iran, Afghanistan and Central Asia. In this article, a brief sketch of his life and a concise description of his works has been mentioned, followed by a meaningful analysis of his attitude, approach, style, contents, thoughts, impact, influence, beliefs and ideology.
