Seemingly the subject of Home Economics is new but as the matter of fact it is not a new one as a scholar of 9^th century CE Ibne Qutaiba dealt it in his famous book titled ‘Ayon al Akhbaar. This Arabic scholar was fully aware of the importance of managing household for the healthy up-bringing of a family determining the role of different members in a family. This article is an analytical study of his book on Home Economics.
