Abstract
The Holy Qur’ān is the last divine book. It is the universal book for all the times for all the peoples. The fountain of its meanings and secrets will never dry out. It has been guiding generations after generation through the centuries till it reaches our age. This paper highlights the significance of the prophetic traditions and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet regarding the interpretation of the Holy Qur’ān and Islamic law. It theorises that the sayings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are the major and authentic source for the true interpretation of the Holy Quran.
