Majeed Amjad has recently attracted the attention of verse lovers and critics alike. Majeed is admired for his unique style, diction and dealing of the issues through his poetry. Shab e Rafta is his first book on poetry. He has dealt a variety of issues in this book. He developed special feelings for his surrounding world including that of animals', birds' and trees'. Tree has a special reference in his verse which also emerges as a symbol. Besides other issues, he has also written on the philosophy of time and mortality. This article specially focuses this aspect of Majeed's in the light of his book Shab e Rafta.
