Mirza Azeem Baig was a pupil of renowned mystic poet Hatim. He later on benefitted from another poet famous for his mystical views i.e., Sauda. Mirza Azeem wrote a divan which has not been traced as yet. His verses are found in different tazkiras and anthologies. Azeem Baig is also known for his poetic quarrel with famous poet Insha. Azeem is a poet of high merit. His poetry shows his command over the art of poetry. This article presents hitherto unavailable information about this forgotten poet and his work.
