Abstract
The most remarkable literary figure of Chile is Pablo Neruda. He won the noble prize for literature in 1971. Neruda wrote in a variety of styles, including surrealist poems, historical epics, overtly political manifestoes, a prose auto biography and lovely poems. Neruda was a poet of humanity. In this article the literary struggle of Neruda and some other Chilean and Pakistani men of letters for democracy and human rights have been discussed.
